सरत गांव स्थित सारणेश्वर महादेव मठ में गादीपति महंत शंकरस्वरूप ब्रह्मचारी महाराज के सान्निध्य में आगामी 5 जुलाई को मनाया जाने वाला गुरु पूर्णिमा महोत्सव इस बार वैश्विक महामारी के चलते स्थिगित किया गया है।

मंदिर के गादीपति शंकरस्वरूप ब्रह्मचारी महाराज ने अपने सभी भक्तों की सुरक्षा को देखते हुए महामारी से बचाव को लेकर मंदिर में महोत्सव नहीं मनाने का निश्चय किया है। उन्होंने भक्तों से आग्रह किया है कि सभी भक्त अपने गुरु के प्रति श्रद्धा व भावपूर्ण तरीके से अपने घर पर ही गुरु की उपासना व साधना करें। साथ ही विश्व कल्याण की कामना करने की अपील की है।

पिछले कई वर्षों से महंत के सान्निध्य में गुरु पूर्णिमा महोत्सव बड़ी धूमधाम के साथ मनाया जाता है, लेकिन इस वर्ष कोरोना जैसी आपदा के कारण ये कार्यक्रम स्थगित किया गया है। साथ ही श्रद्धालुओं व भक्तों से निवेदन किया है कि सरकार व प्रशासन की गाइड लाइन की पालना करते हुए स्वंय व दूसरों को भी इस महामारी से बचाएं।
